Email Overview
We are pleased to offer the following
tools with your email accounts:

For users not using an
email client to download email (i.e. using Openwebmail
only):
If you are using our web-based email tool,
Openwebmail, directly and not downloading email to an
email client such as Outlook, we recommend the following
implementation plan:
- Read our tutorial for Spam Filtering
and set up your preferences. We recommend you select
the "Move to Spam folder" option.
- Read our tutorial for Virus Filtering
and enable the tool. We recommend you select the "Delete
all viruses" option.
- Read our tutorial for Bad Word tagging
and configure if you wish.
For users using Outlook 2003 to
download email:
If you are using Outlook to download email
to your PC, we recommend the following implementation
plan:
- If you haven't already done so, set
up Outlook 2003 Spam Filtering.
- Read our tutorial for Spam Filtering
and set up your preferences. We recommend you leave
the "Default Run Mode" setting in place
which delivers all email (with spam emails tagged
by our spam software) to your Outlook mailbox for
filtering via Outlook's spam tool.
- Read our tutorial for Virus Filtering
and enable the tool. We recommend you select the "Delete
all viruses" option.
- Read our tutorial for Bad Word tagging
and configure if you wish.
- Finally, set up rules in Outlook 2003
to move tagged spam (and bad words) from our server
to folders in your Outlook. Go <here>

When we set up your email account, we
set certain default values to the various
tools.
You
are responsible for setting up other then default
values for each of our offerings, so we highly recommend
you familiarize yourself with all the extra options
we offer.
If you wish telephone support for any
of the below beyond the regular default settings, we
offer this at our standard rates of $70/hr.

While you may be getting your email via
an email client such as Microsoft Outlook, our email
services includes a web-based module. This allows you
to get to your email account from anywhere you have

Many of our clients use Microsoft's Outloook
2003 client to download their email from our server
to their PC. To do this, you need to set up your Outlook
to get to your email box on our server.

Dashboard - Various administration tools for your
email account |
You can do several things via your email
account dashboard on our server:
IMPORTANT
NOTE: What you do on your dashboard
may effect your email client. For example, if you set
your email to forward to another email address via the
dashboard, you are doing this at the server level. It
will be forwarded immediately (from the server) and
will thus not be saved in your email account
on our server.

While we set up your
login name and a password for your email account, you
can change your password if you wish. You can't, however,
change your login name.

You can set your email box to forward
all incoming emails to another email address.

| Enabling
Vacation messages |
You can set your email account to automatically
respond to incoming emails with a return email notifying
senders that you are on vacation, on a business trip,
etc.

Filtering - SpamAssassin |
Our spam filter package is powered by
one of the worlds leading anti-spam technologies; "SpamAssassin".
When we set up your email account, we
apply default settings that identifies but does
not delete spam; that's your decision!

IMPORTANT
NOTE: SpamAssassin does a great job
at filtering spam/junk email. For those clients who
want an even more powerful spam filtering tool, we offer
MXLogic. Please contact us for details and pricing on
this additional service.

| Virus
Filtering - Anti Virus |
Our anti-virus filtering can identify
incoming emails that are virus-infected.*
However, it doesn't check
outging emails, nor viruses elsewhere on your PC. Nowadays,
you simply MUST install virus protection
on your PC.
When we set up your email account, the
anti-virus filtering is NOT enabled.
You are responsible for activating this tool and on
doing so, accept the waiver below.

NOT guarantee that we will catch viruses and
assume absolutely NO responsiblity
or liability for viruses transmitted via our server.

| Bad
word tagging - Wordassassin |
This tool searches incoming email for
bad words as defined by you and inserts a notification
in the subject line of the email that a bad word was
found.
When we set up your account, WordAssassin
is disabled. You are responsible for
activating this tool.
