We developed an intranet system based on PHP/MySQL to share and manage files, plus burn off projects to individual project CDs that are kept in a networked CD Jukebox system thus keeping them available to all, alleviating harddrive requirements and backup pressure with the added benefits of easy evacuation for their disaster preparation in hurricane-plagued Florida!

Case 2 - Custom Programming - Development of intranet home builder management application for construction firm.

The building of new homes continues to boom here in Florida. <Olivera Construction Inc> - winner of the 2005 Parade of Homes Luxury Home award - builds many luxury homes simultaneously and needed a tool to bring together their home-owners, the designers and their contractors to avoid costly errors due to miscommunications about paint color selections, tiles, roofs and more.

We created a web-based application running on opensource PHP/MySQL where homes are set up and configured with number of rooms, types of rooms, types of amenities and all valid design selections . The designer now sits with the home owner and via secure VPN access, goes through the various selections, saves and locks them to the home database in realtime, giving immediate selection details to the home builders and their contractors.

An adminstration tool was programmed so Olivera Construction can add users and set their security levels, add room and design types themselves without further programming costs.

Since the launch of the application, Olivera has eliminated duplication work and the chances of costly building mistakes.
